UP Health System - Portage Ranked a Four Star Hospital by CMS

As of May 4, 2016, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has refreshed the Hospital Compare website, ranking UP Health System – Portage as a Four Star Hospital. The rating is based on patient surveys.

The four star ranking places Portage in the top 25th percentile in the nation for quality care delivered to our community. This report highlights that Portage is currently scoring higher than state and national averages.

The four star ratings are based on data published on Hospital Compare. Hospital Compare is a public website that allows patients to research published data on all hospitals in the country that treat Medicare patients. The star rating system allows patients to make informed health care choices when in need of health care.
