With the easy access of health information in today's world, it sometimes becomes confusing to sort it all out. Let our experts help you by providing up-to-date information about getting fit, eating right and living healthier lives. This year, we're focusing our Day for Women event on Happiness! Nearly all presentations will have an emphasis on happiness and incorporating more in to our everyday lives. JOIN US!

Over 25 area services and shops will be set up for you to browse and sample, some at additional cost during break times. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Free massages will also be available.

Screenings

Full Cholesterol Panel (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure and Bone Density. You must fast 12 hours prior to screening. Screening results will be available just before 1 p.m.; you must be present to receive your results.

Empowering young women to be the best they dream to be – Colleen Vallad-Hix, DO
Empower young women to fulfill their dreams and focus on positives. Dr. Colleen will be discussing body image, future goals and body safety.

Exercise = Happiness – Madelyn DeVoe, Exercise Specialist
A look into why exercise makes you happier, some simple ways to fit exercise in to your everyday life, and also a group demonstration of basic exercises anyone can do no matter what skill level.

Backyard Nutrition – Amelia Stefanac, Registered Dietician
Learn the nutritional and health benefits of growing fresh vegetables yourself, learn some basic gardening tips, and then take home a plant to get started at your house.

An Introduction to Tai Chi – Larry Wall, Tai Chi Instructor
Tai Chi is a unique form of exercise that can help maximize health, avoid injury and improve the quality of life. Tai chi can also be easily adapted for anyone, regardless of fitness level. Follow along with this interactive session and learn how Tai Chi can be used to reduce stress.

Learn the importance of caring for your feet, especially with summer right around the corner. Kelly will conduct foot exams and teach participants what signs to look for to avoid complications. Exercises will be given to help strengthen your feet as well.
